Lowering Cholesterol

My name is Dennis Lodise, and my wife Nancy and I are Executive Coordinators in Shaklee. We have been involved in Shaklee 23 years and I have been on Shaklee products for this entire time. I have had great success with all the products I have taken. The most dramatic change because of Shaklee, until now, was the AirSource, which helped with my allergies, asthma, and sleep apathy.

In August of 2004, my M.D. suggested that since my Cholesterol Total had reached 260 I should be on Lipitor. Over my wife’s objections I tried the drug and experienced side effects, including sore muscles and joints, headaches, tiredness, and crankiness.

I called my M.D. who said no problem we will try some other drug. I refused to do so since I was to see my Heart Specialist shortly and I would confer with him on this problem. I had a couple of months, so I tried to diet, exercise, and cut out harmful foods like sugar, and white flour. I brought my level down to 249, still unacceptable. I ask him if I could go on the “Shaklee Cholesterol Reducing Program” and he said I had about 3 months and he would check my cholesterol again. I brought it down to 211 even though I had lost 28 lbs. it wasn’t good enough. I ask him to give me more time and that I would get serious! I became religious about taking the “Fiber Plan” twice day instead of once a day. I also increased my “Cholesterol Regulation Complex” from 4 to 6 a day. I was much better at watching my food choices, even though I ate as much as before, and I increased my 6-day 20-minute walking program to 30-minutes. The big day arrived and even though I has lost only 5 more pounds, my TOTAL CHOLESTEROL WAS 159! My total cholesterol was below “AHA Recommendations”, and my other blood factors dramatically changed for the better. My HDL Risk Factor went from 5.1 to 3.1 (3.8 recommended)! NO DRUGS for this guy, thanks to Shaklee and a little effort on my part.
