Ocean Wonders Makes a Difference

McAsey Enterprises | 785-341-4437

Testimony:

Hi. I’m Amie. I am a single mom of 2 awesome daughters, Morgan and Mackenzie, ages 6 & 4. Morgan, my 6 year old, was diagnosed with congenital heart defects immediately after birth. The Dr’s told us they didn’t know what caused her defects. She had cardiac surgery when she was just 10 weeks old, and appeared to have no other health issues, although she was always very tiny for her age.

Fast forward a few years…

I was introduced to Shaklee and I started my children on Ocean Wonders (Shaklee’s multi-vitamin for children). In September 2007 I received my answer regarding what caused Morgan’s congenital heart defects. She was diagnosed with Turner Syndrome. Instead of having 2 X chromosomes, Morgan has only 1. One of the symptoms of Turner Syndrome is a Growth Hormone deficiency, which is why Morgan is so small. Morgan is 2 years and 4 months older than her sister, but they’re the same size and are often mistaken for twins.

In February 2008 Morgan started nightly injections of Growth Hormone to replace what her body was lacking. Her growth improved dramatically and we were thrilled. However, in December 2008 her checkup showed minimal growth. I was concerned there was an underlying health issue or the Growth Hormone was simply not working any more. Then I realized something but I wasn’t sure it was related to her growth change. I had stopped giving my children Ocean Wonders. As a single Mom, money is tight and I cut corners everywhere I could. Well, this was a wake-up call. I went back to Shaklee in February, hoping it would improve Morgan’s growth, although her specialist said it wasn’t related. At Morgan’s April check-up I was relieved to find she was growing again. The only change we made was Ocean Wonders. No matter how tight money is, Shaklee is not one of the corners I will cut. The growth hormone just wasn’t doing everything it could without the nutrition from Ocean Wonders.

Unique Difference

McAsey Enterprises | 785-341-4437

THE UNIQUE SHAKLEE DIFFERENCE
Heritage of Success for Over 50 Years
This story began in 1915 when Dr. Forrest C. Shaklee developed Vitalized Minerals which was one of the first multivitamin, multimineral supplements ever developed. His philosophy was that people would be healthier if they lived in harmony with nature. His passion to help people was fully realized in 1956 when he developed a company whose
goal was to improve the health of people and the planet.

The Shaklee Philosophy
For over 50 years, generations of families have counted on Shaklee to do what no other company can do in quite the same way—make products that are naturally safe AND proven effective. The mission at Shaklee is to provide a healthier life for everyone and a better life for anyone. They do it by making natural products that are so exceptional, you just have to tell your friends. Every product that goes into every Shaklee bottle is designed to improve health, work without compromise, and be gentle on the planet.

The goal is to die young … as late as possible!

Over 50 Patents

Most of Shaklee’s patents are on DELIVERY SYSTEMS. No matter how nutrition-packed the supplement is, it won’t matter if it doesn’t enter the blood stream. The same end result will be as if you took very little or nothing at all.
This is where Shaklee science really pays off – they’ve been at the same thing for decades.

Q: “What’s the most expensive supplement you can buy?”

A: “The one that doesn’t work”

DO LABELS TELL ME EVERYTHING I NEED TO KNOW?
There are several things not shown on a label

So what distinguishes a good product from a not-so-good one? The simplest solution is to know the manufacturer’s background. And not necessarily from the sales rep. It should be from an uninterested 3rd party. Shaklee has over 90 published articles in credible medical journals (see back of Shaklee catalog for full bibliography) that show the results (the “proof”) of what their products do once they enter the body. Before publication, these papers must be peerreviewed,
which is a very stringent critiquing by a 3rd party. This is the same standard by which pharmaceutical companies have to comply before a new drug is launched. No other supplement company comes close to this kind of scrutiny.

• Organic?
• Tested?
• Synthetic
• High heat?
• Bio available?
• Proper ratios?
• Label padding?
• Proof that it works?
• Credible manufacturer?

Wishing you a wonderful week ; )

Eating Fruit

McAsey Enterprises | 785-341-4437
We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths. It's not as easy as you think. It's important to know how and when to eat?

What is the correct way of eating fruits?

IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS! * FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.

If you eat fruit like that, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.

FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD. Let's say you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit. The slice of fruit is  ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so. In the meantime the whole meal rots and ferments and turns to acid. The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil....

So please eat your fruits on an empty stomach or before your meals! You have heard people complaining — every time I eat  watermelon I burp, when I eat durian my stomach bloats up, when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet, etc — actually all this will not arise if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach. The fruit mixes with the putrefying other food and produces gas and hence you will bloat!

Graying hair, balding, nervous outburst, and dark circles under the eyes all these will NOT happen if you take fruits on an empty stomach.  There is no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are acidic, because all fruits become alkaline in our body, according to Dr. Herbert Shelton who did research this matter. If you have mastered the correct way of eating fruits, you have the Secret of beauty, longevity, health, energy, happiness and normal weight.

When you need to drink fruit juice - drink only fresh fruit juice, NOT from the cans. Don't even drink juice that has been heated up. Don't eat cooked fruits because you don't get the nutrients at all. You only get to taste. Cooking destroys all the vitamins.

But eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice.  If you should drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it. You can go on a 3-day fruit fast to cleanse your body. Just eat fruits and drink fruit juice throughout the 3 days and you will be surprised when your friends tell you how radiant you look!

KIWI: Tiny but mighty.  This is a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin E &  fiber. Its vitamin C content is twice that of an orange.

APPLE: An apple a day keeps the doctor away? Although an apple has a low vitamin C content, it has antioxidants & flavonoids which enhances the activity of vitamin C thereby helping to lower the risks of colon cancer, heart attack & stroke.

STRAWBERRY: Protective Fruit.  Strawberries have the highest total antioxidant power among major fruits & protect the body from cancer-causing, blood vessel-clogging free radicals.

ORANGE: Sweetest medicine. Taking 2-4 oranges a day may help keep colds away, lower cholesterol, prevent & dissolve kidney stones as well as lessens the risk of colon cancer.

WATERMELON: Coolest thirst quencher. Composed of 92% water, it is also packed with a giant dose of glutathione, which helps boost our immune system. They are also a key source of lycopene — the cancer fighting oxidant. Other nutrient in found in watermelon are vitamin C & Potassium.

GUAVA & PAPAYA: Top awards for vitamin C. They are the clear winners for their high vitamin C content.. Guava is also rich in fiber, which helps prevent constipation. Papaya is rich in carotene; this is good for your eyes.

Inflammation

McAsey Enterprises | 785-341-4437
How does inflammation relate to heart disease and stroke risk?

“Inflammation” is the process by which the body responds to injury or an infection. Laboratory evidence and findings from clinical and population studies suggest that inflammation is important in atherosclerosis (ath”er-o-skleh-RO’sis). This is the process in which fatty deposits build up in the inner lining of arteries.

C-reactive protein (CRP) is one of the acute phase proteins that increase during systemic inflammation. It’s been suggested that testing CRP levels in the blood may be an additional way to assess cardiovascular disease risk. A more sensitive CRP test, called a highly sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) assay, is available to determine heart disease risk.

The American Heart Association and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention published a joint scientific statement in 2003 on the use of inflammatory markers in clinical and public health practice. This statement was developed after systematically reviewing the evidence of association between inflammatory markers (mainly CRP) and coronary heart disease and stroke.

What’s the role of CRP in predicting recurrent cardiovascular and stroke events?

A growing number of studies have examined whether hs-CRP can predict recurrent cardiovascular disease, stroke and death in different settings. High levels of hs-CRP consistently predict recurrent coronary events in patients with unstable angina and acute myocardial infarction (heart attack). Higher hs-CRP levels also are associated with lower survival rates in these patients. Many studies have suggested that after adjusting for other prognostic factors, hs-CRP is useful as a risk predictor.

The Shaklee users who participated in The Landmark Supplement Study all had healthier levels of C-Reactive Protein.
